The Journey Begins...

As I sit here and listen to my 2 girls cooking their own dinner I realise how much better they have been getting along since we started our home school education journey.

We decided to home school both our girls out of no where, they were not having problems at school, in fact both were doing really quite well academically; physically and emotionally well that was a different story.
K (our eldest at 14) was loosing weight, not sleeping and generally out of salts and under a lot of pressure to achieve better grades from her teachers (she was obtaining A's they wanted *'s)
Z (our youngest at 11) was pale, not sleeping, not communicating and generally not wanting to be around people, of course on a Monday morning we would have 'Do I have to go to school mum' - So Home Schooling it was, its not the first time we have done it  so it didnt seem as daunting as the first time round.

We are now three weeks in to our journey so far they have both taken up a new language (German) completed 2 art projects, done lots of basic Maths and English, worked out their timetables as they both seem to benefit from the structure and learnt lots of new cooking recipes, We have found lots of free courses (Look on my pintrest here) for all the links we have found so far (be warned there are a few)

We also started looking at making major changes in our life style not only to save a few quid but to help manage my time much better. Home schooling 2 kids, running a business and trying to juggle all our pets (there are lots of those too) means I need 30 hours in a day if I ever want to sleep.

So we started buying in bulk, making our own products and so much more, keep following for more updates, recipes, money saving tips and general crazyness!
